2018 – 2019 Philanthropy Update
The Tuckahoe Woman’s Club had a busy start to the club year with several philanthropy projects. In October and November, non-perishable food items and donations were collected for Feed More, a local food bank. Through the generosity of our members, 459 pounds of food was collected and $1,660 was raised just in time for Thanksgiving. Following the food drive, members worked with Jill’s Blankets making double fleece blankets for chemotherapy patients. Jill’s Blankets was the recipient of the Tuckahoe Woman’s Club Dover Award in spring 2018. The Club’s holiday philanthropy project has been collecting items for St. Joseph’s Villa and making holiday joy bags for Little Sisters of the Poor.
